PROSTHETIC REHABILITATION

FIXED TEETH/NON REMOVABLE = CROWN- AND BRIDGE TECHNIQUE ( see above)

REMOVABLE = PARTIAL OR FULL DENTURES

Bite splint/Night guard/Myofunctional splint
Used for positioning and strengthening of loosened teeth as well as for compensating for missing bites and for treating jaw joint problems (TMJ problems).

Immediate denture
A simple, quickly made partial or total denture that is prefabricated in the dental laboratory before the planned extraction of teeth that are no longer maintainable. Advantage: The patient is never without teeth !!

Total denture (as a definitive)
(For example according to the system of Lauritzen)
Final full denture made with several impressions and try-ins. Great attention is paid to aesthetics and prosthesis retention/stability. Time consuming, high quality.

Partial denture made of titanium or surgical steel
High Precision metal framework made of allergologically tested materials.
Advantage: Light, graceful partial denture, thatleaves enough room for your tongue. Very strong and stable.

Partial denture made of titanium, no palatal covering & with special attachments
Most precise and expensive partial denture without palatal covering attached to teeth or implants.

The teeth sit on the jaw with only a narrow support/coverage. The fixation is carried out by so-called attachments (retention elements) on still existing teeth or on implants. In doing so, the denture is inserted into the attachments and snaps into place there fixed.

Advantage: Better aesthetics – no visible retention elements, more stability , no hindrance of the tongue because the palate is uncovered.
The partial denture is removed only for cleaning.

Attachments (= Prosthetic retention elements)

  • ball attachments

  • bar retention

  • interlock

  • telescopic retention

  • and many more ...

The type of attachment must be selected individually for each case.
Considerations are, for example, the space requirement, biomechanics, the required retention strength, ...
