(so called "red" aesthetics)
Mucogingival Surgery - or Plastic-Aesthetic Gum Surgery
Changes of the gum contour, form or position ( = coverage of the exposed neck of the tooth = recession coverage).
Free gingival graft
For the widening and consolidation of the gingiva propria (of the gums, which adheres directly to the tooth), healthy gums from the roof of the mouth (palate) is transplanted on the neck of the tooth.
Coronally advanced flap
The exposed neck of the tooth is covered with a flap of gum tissue – the recession is covered.
Connective tissue transplant
Tissue from the deeper layers of the palate is transplanted, for example, under the gums of the front teeth in order to cover recessions (exposed necks of the tooth). Good aesthetic result – extensive operation.
Innovative combination techniques like MCAT (modified coronally advanced tunnel technique)
